2020 Fall Programs- SCHOOL YEAR HEROES!
Help Your Child To SHINE This Fall!
KidSHINE is excited to introduce School Year Heroes, our one day/ week programming for children of all ages to supplement the varied learning experiences that are occurring this school year. We offered a variety of safe, small group programs this summer, and we were inspired by how hard all of our KidSHINE kiddos worked and how much they all shined during the KidSHINE summer programs. Many school systems are starting the year with a hybrid approach or as 100% remote. Accessing remote learning (and remote OT services) can be incredibly challenging, and in person support and learning is necessary for children to access learning and skill development. In addition, many families have decided to homeschool or create learning pods, so the KidSHINE staff has been brainstorming how to bring back in person skill support this fall.
Based on the amazing feedback from the kiddos and parents this summer, KidSHINE has created a variety of programs to support strength, social and skill development at our clinic in Rowley. We are teaming up with Parker River Tutoring to offer programming for our older clients (3rd grade- 8th grade) and Miracle Farm Speech Therapy to target social pragmatics and cooperative turn taking with our younger clients. We will continue to focus on strength, motor, social and self regulation skills with all of our age groups.

We Care About Safety!
Children will be required to wear a mask indoors and will be encouraged to wear masks outdoors
We know that wearing a mask while exercising can be challenging, special mask-break areas will be available
Social distancing measures will be in place, including specified stations for each child to exercise safely while with peers
Disinfection of equipment and spaces occurs regularly and will be implemented before and after all sessions
Program sizes will be small with a maximum student enrollment of 6 children per group. Programs MUST have a minimum of 4 children enrolled in order for the group to run
Additional Details: We are a phase 1 facility, so if the governor initiates a shift to a different phase, we are able to remain open for services and programs as long as possible (and as long as it is safe). If we suspect a full shut down is imminent, we will suspend the program after the last paid day of the month we are in. In the case of an immediate full shut down, we will finish out the current month virtually, and then the program will be suspended until the governor re-opens businesses.
